- 10 people that have died as a result of police use of live ammunition in Zanzibar yesterday and Monday. Approximately 50 people are injured and as of now, 57 people have been arrested.
- In Zanzibar, reports were received of votes being counted from yesterday’s early voting prior to voting starting today.
- At Kajengwa Polling Centre, Makundichi Constituency, Zanzibar, 49 early votes were reported as being cast yesterday but 100 votes were reported having been cast prior to voting starting this morning.
- In Kilindoni, Mafia Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents were not allowed in 7 polling stations.
- In Kigaeni, Mafia Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents were not allowed in 6 polling stations.
- In Ndagoni, Mafia Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents were not allowed in 3 polling stations.
- In Miti Mirefu Ward, Segerea Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents were not allowed in 52 polling stations.
- In Vingunguti Ward, Segerea Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents were not allowed in 40 polling stations.
- In Mbagala Ward and Mbagala Kuu Wards, Mbagala Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents are not allowed in polling stations.
- In Etaro Ward, Musoma Rural Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT polling agents have been prevented from accessing 9 polling Stations.
- In Pemba Mnazi polling station in Kigamboni Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents have been refused entry.
- At Chamazi polling station, Mbagala Constituency, Tanzania mainland, accredited ACT polling agents have been refused entry.
- In Tandale ward, Kinondoni Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited 80 ACT Wazalendo polling agents out of 100 have been prevented from accessing the polling station.
- In Malindi Constituency, Zanzibar, voters at Mlandege Ward were given ballot papers for Malindi Ward.
- At Kilindi Polling Station in Nungwi Constituency, Zanzibar, a Zanzibar Special Forces Unit was alleged to have taken over the station to engage in multiple voting. While there, they surrounded the polling centre keeping voters 50 metres away. It has been reported by an agent that 5 ballots were issued to one Special Forces operative. When this was raised by the agent, they were removed from the polling station.
- In Malindi Constituency, Zanzibar, all CCM reserve polling agents were allowed into voting centres as well as those from the Democratic Party. ACT Wazalendo reserve agents were not allowed in.
- In Masasi Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, 53 accredited ACT polling agents were refused entry to polling stations.
- In Igunga Ward, Igunga Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents were refused entry to polling stations.
- In Lilombe Ward, Milui Ward and Likongolewe Ward polling stations in Liwale Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, accredited ACT Wazalendo polling agents were refused entry.
- Multiple voting was reported at Dimani Constituency, Zanzibar by uniformed Special Forces members.
- At Kigomani polling centre in Kijini constituency, 16 individuals were reported to have voted yesterday. The number was reported to have increased overnight to 60. Special Forces have arrived in varying numbers at the same polling station, some with ballots already in their hands.
- In Kigoma Urban Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, a bag of already completed ballots was discovered by ACT Members and the constituency candidate.
- In Masasi Constituency, 175 out of 210 ACT Wazalendo polling agents were refused entry into the polling stations.
- In Kitongoni Ward, Kigoma Urban Constituency, Tanzania Mainland, an ACT Wazalendo polling agent at Livingstone polling station has been arrested sent to a police station for unknown charges. This has left the station without an ACT Wazalendo polling agent.
- At Mwembeladu Polling Centre, Kikwajuni Constituency, Zanzibar, a man appeared with a dead man’s ID. The dead man’s son, however, was present in the polling station as an ACT Wazalendo Agent. The agent but was ejected from the polling station and the man allowed to vote.
- In Dimani Constituency, Zanzibar, Special Forces were bussed into several polling centres and members were reportedly handed ten ballots each.
- Due to ‘multi-voting’, it is reported that some polling stations in Mfenesini and Mtoni constituencies In Zanzibar ran short of Zanzibar Presidential and House of Representative ballots while voters were still queuing to vote.
- In Amaan Constituency, Zanzibar, an ACT Wazalendo polling agent reported that the voting card of his brother who is currently in the United Arab Emirates was used to vote. The same agent witnessed the card of a citizen currently living in Italy being used to vote.
- In Kijini Constituency, Zanzibar, it was reported that Special Force operatives snatched ballot boxes in various polling centres.
- At one polling centre in Amani Constituency, Zanzibar, approximately 100 voters missed out on voting for the President of Zanzibar after they were told the relevant ballots had run out.
- After polls closed in Nungwi Constituency, Zanzibar, the infamous hooded groups nicknamed ‘Zombies’ started beating people and a confrontation ensued. There were reports of tear gas and live ammunition employed. Three people have reportedly been injured by live ammunition.
- Yesterday, an ACT Wazalendo polling agent by the name of Juma Mdungi at Mwambale Polling Centre in Nungwi Constituency, Zanzibar was seriously beaten by ‘Zombies’ before being taken to the police. His parents went to the police and found he was seriously injured. They took him to hospital where he got medical treatment and was discharged. This evening, he passed away.
